The National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) has recently appointed oomi™ to provide the membership systems and support it needs to ensure it is well-equipped to support members.
The NAFD is the largest and most inclusive representative body for the UK funeral sector. Established in 1905, it represents the entire spectrum of funeral directing businesses, including independent and family-owned firms, co-operatives, and major funeral groups, and represents more than 4,100 UK funeral homes, as well as international firms and suppliers to the sector – providing advice, advocacy, education and support to help them meet the highest professional standards.
NAFD has just embarked on a five-year strategy, called Focusing on the Future, which sets out bold and innovative plans for the Association to ensure it can support members through the myriad of issues facing the profession.
“We realised that our current fragmented systems, a mixture of MS Excel and website data sources, were insufficient for our future plans,” comments Stacy Tuohy, NAFD’s Project Manager. “After reviewing various options, it was obvious that oomi could provide both the functionality and the sector-experience we needed.”
As well as the core membership management CRM, oomi will be providing a range of specific modules that provide out-of-the-box functionality to support events, finance, committees, product sales, sales management, and case management.
oomi’s digital services team will also deliver a fully integrated members portal to increase the level of member self-service and reduce administration time for NAFD staff.
They will also be implementing Mailchimp integration with oomi CRM, to ensure data integrity and enable personalised communications. Further integration with the finance system Xero will help to reduce manual data entry and improve finance reconciliation processes.
