We are now seeking a highly skilled and motivated Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team.
The Role
This position is responsible for delivering accurate and timely bookkeeping up to monthly TB, including all data entry and balance sheet reconciliations. The bookkeeping is currently done on Sage by an outsourced third party.
The aim is to bring the finance function totally in house with a full time finance manager supported by this role. The finance manager has been recruited. This role will be pivotal in helping the Finance Manager ensure timely and accurate management accounts can be prepared on a monthly basis [within 2 weeks of month end] alongside year-end Financial Accounts and VAT Reporting.
This is part time role : 14 to 21 hours per week on a flexible basis, including working from home. There is a requirement for two visits per month to the office in Epsom, Surrey.
Responsibilities
Manage all sales invoicing and sales day book entry.
Conduct credit control procedures including chasing for late payments.
Receive and post supplier invoices and obtain approvals for payment.
Manage the suppliers day book entries.
Regularly maintain the debtor and creditor ledgers
Daily/Weekly bank reconciliations
Monthly reconciliation of all other balance sheet accounts.
Produce the quarterly data for VAT.
Manage customer licence renewal notices.
Provide ad hoc excel worksheets showing monthly revenue by customer data.
Key skills
Knowledge of SAGE preferable or other similar accountancy software.
Well organised and methodical individual who can work both as a team and on their own
Good knowledge of bookkeeping and VAT.
Good excel and reconciliation skills.
